Kenneth Hagin - Ministry Watch
Kenneth E. Hagin was an American Pentecostal pastor and a central architect of the modern Word of Faith movement. He founded Rhema Bible Training College, which became a hub for influential Word of Faith teachers such as Kenneth Copeland, Charles Capps, and Norvel Hayes.
Hagin taught doctrines emphasizing positive confession, the believer’s authority, guaranteed healing, and other teachings that critics argue distort Scripture and promote an unbiblical view of faith, suffering, and God’s will. He also claimed a number of personal visions from Jesus.
His theology profoundly shaped the Word of Faith and later charismatic movements, but has also been identified by many pastors and theologians as a source of serious doctrinal error. Hagin died in 2003 at the age of 86.
