The reality of the Devil must be understood by all who seek to serve Christ, yet the reality of the sovereignty of God stabilizes us in temptation and affliction. Conrad Mbewe encourages God’s people to face the attacks of the evil one with bold confidence in God and in God’s Word. Satan is real and his hatred for Christ and us as God’s people is palpable. His goal is to shipwreck our faith in Christ and drive us to despair. This he would accomplish in a moment if not for the protection of God for his people. Christ has triumphed over the evil one and He will have the final word.
