We begin this program questioning how “nonconceptual prayer” and other techniques to silence the mind can be more helpful and comforting that truth from the Bible. we explain how the speculations of Enneagram are enticing to church people who are not truly regenerate. The Biblical doctrine of the Fall is so very important and is denied by Enneagram promoters. We explain that doctrine and how the Bible teaches the sinful condition of the human race. Enneagram is incompatible with this truth because it posits a pristine “self” to be found through meditation and implementation of the Enneagram system based on its 9 numbers and prescriptions for each number. The contrast between the truth of the gospel and the lies of Enneagram could not be more stark. Shockingly, Richard Rohr claims that we are the object of God’s faith. We example that idea and refute it from Scripture. We do this by citing passages from Jeremiah 17. Jeremiah says that those who trust in God are blessed and those who trust in man are cursed. Yet Rohr claims that God believes in man! There are many such problems with the false theology that undergirds Enneagram. For example, how can we trust God if we have no concept of God in our minds when we come to Him? We show from John’s gospel that Jesus did not trust in man. What we really need is for God to do a heart transplant and change us from the inside out.
