The prescribed practices of Enneagram are predicated on the belief that finding ones “True Self” is how one finds his or her “way home to God.” We warn that the mystical experiences promoted by Enneagram may seem good and innocuous, but they are dangerous because they may be energized by deceiving spirits. The complex and confusing practices and theories of this system are esoteric compared to the promises of God in the Bible. We compare Enneagram’s prescribed silence, solitude and stillness with the true rest found in Christ through the gospel. The processes of Enneagram are based on the traditions of men which promote religions of works. Enneagram is an ad hoc folk religion which no objective verification. The plan for spiritual growth offered by Enneagram teachers varies depending the number (1-9) of the person it is applied. to. By contrast, the means of grace are the same for all believers and are accessible. We end the series by offering the gospel and means of grace in place of the endless, mystical processes of Enneagram.
