In this episode we discuss what the epistles call Christians: believers and saints. We show that “saint” is a term applied to all believers, not special super-Christians as the Roman Catholics do. We are called saints - sanctified ones - because of what Jesus did - and He gets the glory. We also discuss the term “followers of Jesus” and how it is misused in Comer’s book and by those who teach the social gospel. True followers are those who repent and believe the gospel, and we must determine who the true Jesus is as well.
This is a critique of Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer, WaterBrook, 2024.
