In this short edition of Firm Foundation, Richard Moore stumbled across a clip where Kris Vallotton says that he was part of the "Manifest Sons of God Theology" in Weaverville, the church right before he and Bill Johnson came to Bethel. He doesn't condemn the theology—he talks about it in a positive light as if it were a true move of God. However, the Manifest Sons of God theology stems from the New Order of the Latter Rain movement, which was condemned by the Assemblies of God denomination as aberrant. Many others in the evangelical movement have also condemned the New Order of the Latter Rain and the Manifest Sons of God theology, which teaches that a special group of elite Christians will become immortal and usher in the return of Christ by their immortality and their ability to perform extra special miracles, signs and wonders. This idea was originally espoused by George Warnock. In this episode, Richard describes the source and the theology behind it, including several quotes from George Warnock himself. In this show, Richard shows the direct connection of the Manifest Sons of God theology to Bethel, Weaverville, Kris Vallotton, and Bill Johnson.
