Note: This episode was recorded on July 2, 2025. American Gospel: Spirit & Fire has since been extended to 17 Episodes.
By the grace of God, American Gospel has been the catalyst for the spiritual reformation of thousands of misguided Christians around the world.
As a recovering charismatic, Brandon Kimber never set out to produce the most ground-breaking & transformative film series in the modern evangelical church. He just wanted to help his friends and family understand what they were missing in scripture.
Many are skeptical because of the charismatic propaganda that warns the docuseries: “Is too Baptist or reformed,” “It’s cessationist,” “It’s too harsh,” “It quenches the Spirit,” or “It doesn’t leave room for the supernatural.” If you put aside preconceptions and approach the film objectively, what you will find isn't a heavy-handed theological argument. You will discover Biblical clarity, sound conviction, and a clean presentation of the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
We were once immersed in emotionalism, performance-driven Christianity, and spiritual manipulation. We were led to believe that anything outside our movement was dead, dry, or even dangerous. But after years of chasing power, signs, and deeper experiences, we were left exhausted and spiritually starving.
The American Gospel: Christ Alone film didn’t quench the Spirit! Quite the opposite. It opened our eyes to how we had been following a false gospel, one centered on man instead of Christ. This documentary gently and biblically reframed the entire conversation around the sufficiency of Christ and the authority of Scripture.
We know firsthand how scary it can feel to question your spiritual upbringing. You may be deconstructing, but still believe the Bible. You may feel let down by churches that elevated hype and prophecy over Scripture. You may be afraid that watching something like American Gospel will strip away everything familiar. But we believe it might be the most important thing you do right now.
