While Jesus never suffered from cancer, He did suffer. And truth be told, what Jesus suffered makes cancer look like a temporary blip on the radar screen. Cancer patient, Jesus experienced the ultimate suffering and assuaged the holy wrath of God the Father that should have fallen on sinners. Because of that, Jesus intimately knows how to help Christians and sympathize with them, no matter what their infirmity. Jesus “sympathizes with our weaknesses” (Hebrews 4:15) and helps as a merciful High Priest.
