It is all bound up in an incredibly stressful test that Abraham had to endure and undergo. In fact, it seems unfair and extreme – but those who have faith in God – trust his heart – that God has purposes and designs in everything he does – that both abound to his glory and work out for our good and for the world’s, ultimate good and joy.
