When one considers elders’ meetings, what comes to mind? For some, maybe their experience has been one of strife and infighting. For others, the image of a corporate boardroom comes to mind. And yet, for some men their mind goes to a group of passive men who subject themselves to one dominant man who drives the decision-making process for the church. These may seem outrageous, but these scenarios are far too common in churches.
But, is it possible for an elder meeting to be carried out in way, that regardless of the issues at hand and even potential disagreements, that the leadership of Christ’s church can be carried out in a God-honoring way?
