Deliverance is defined in Colossians 1:13, 14 as being delivered from the domain of darkness and transferred to the domain of Christ at conversion. Deliverance ministers seek to find the name and location of demons based on a misunderstanding of the wrestling metaphor in Ephesians 6. In that passage Paul is exhorting believers to stand in Christ. The armor of God are things we have in Christ, and they are what will cause us to stand firm in Christ.
We also discuss the idea of Christendom. We are called to transfer people from the domain of darkness to the domain of Christ through preaching of the gospel, not through taking geographical territory.
