Somehow it became a common practice in Word of Faith and Charismatic circles to “plead the blood of Jesus” in an attempt to apply the benefits of the atonement to people and circumstances. Richard Moore explains that individuals can only receive the blessings of the cross if they themselves come to Christ on His terms by faith.
