The first question in the Westminster shorter catechism is this: “What is the chief end of man?” The answer it gives is what we find throughout all of Scripture, “To glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” Pastor Don Green concludes his teachings on MTD by examining how these two worldviews clash on the reason for existence. MTD disagrees with the Catechism and teaches that the chief end of man is to be happy and spend himself in pursuit of his pleasures until death.
