A Critique of Practicing the Way (Part 10) - Critical Issues Commentary

In this episode we continue our discussion of the healing at Bethesda found in John 5 and include a brief overview of John 6. These passages clearly demonstrate the sin nature. The signs performed by Jesus signified that He was the true bread of life, and the true work of God was for them to believe in the One whom the Father sent. Though the lame man was healed and the crowd was fed, they demonstrated their unbelief by grumbling rather than praising God. We contrast this with Comer’s apprenticeship claim. Jesus called people to belief, not apprenticeship.
This is a critique of Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer, WaterBrook, 2024.
