Paul knew that deep contentment can be experienced regardless of how much we have or how little (Philippians 4:11-12) – because it’s found in Christ (Philippians 4:13). The Philippians understood how “rich” they were in Christ, and this awareness enabled them to support Paul generously and self-sacrificially (Philippians 4:14-16).
