The doctrine of sonship is a prominent teaching within the New Apostolic Reformation. One of the teachings surrounding this belief is that spiritual sons and daughters are to honor and to exhibit the spiritual DNA of their spiritual father/mother. Some leaders will even express that they should be obeyed, or sons and daughters run the risk of being illegitimate.
